Great Greenbrier River Race is Saturday, April 24

Today's mail had information from the Pocahontas County Convention & Visitors Bureau about the Great Greenbrier River Race which will be held on Saturday, April 24th. This is an event which features a 3 mile rail-trail run, 4 mile flat-water paddle, and a ten mile bike ride. The information says that most riders use mountain bikes.
The event begins with a Friday evening pasta party at the Marlinton United Methodist Church. Staging for the race begins on the morning of the 24th with dropping off boats from 8-10 AM. The race start is 11 AM. There is a post race picnic, socializing, and an awards ceremony that starts at 2:30 PM.
